CLINICIAN ORD BUCKINGHAM
KAYCEE, WYOMING
Born and raised in Kaycee Wyoming on a ranch where the Hole-in-the-Wall is, Ord is the fourth generation, Knows the Johnson and Natrona County area history and people.
His lifestyle is Old West, born and raised on a horse. He removes hat and spurs when entering someones home and removes hat and stands when being introduced. He does most of his work from atop of a horse with his partners being a horse and a dog
Ord has a natural and inherent aptitude or capacity to read livestock.
His people skills have amazed and surprised us. Ord has the true personality of a cowboy, very quiet, very honest, very blunt.
When he starts riding with the guests he has the ability to show and put the person in a position to where they are comfortable and are able to help with the livestock for example gathering trailing and branding cows.
Ord claims to be just a horse breaker and a cowboy who likes the old ways better than the new ways although he's learned a lot from the new ways.
Ords very talented on the guitar plays all types of music from the old ballad's to blues.

One Diamond Bar "Cowboy School" Clinic

One diamond Bar short course on some basic (very Western) horsemanship skills as practiced by cowboys in Kaycee Wyoming and throughout the west.

This can be tailored to meet the needs and desires of the participants. It is basically instruction on how to work around horses and cattle and can include fundamentals of cow work (horseback, of course), teaching a horse to hobble, ground tying, the basics of snaffel bit horsemanship and the making of a bridle horse, and an introduction to ranch roping and basic rope work - basic swings, simple catches and how to use a catch rope with a horse...

Tailored to meet the needs of the clinic attendees, we can start with the basics of building and swinging a loop, getting your horse used to a swinging rope and learning to catch a roping dummy to learning how to catch and tie down live cattle, as a team or all by yourself. This is a fun, exciting and safe way to learn to rope. The operative word is "quiet" with roping done from a standstill or a walk in a controlled setting. This is preferred in order to keep the young stuff quiet and healthy when branding and the sick stuff from getting sicker by not running them ragged. This is a great way to further your horse's training and your own.

Pricing    $100 per day per student.   4-H discount available.
 Minimum 6 students.
